Burst

This painting was inspired I believe by the Red Spider Lilies in the first ending theme for Inuyasha. I am very positive that is what I was going for despite it not looking quite like it at all. I went off of memory which I do often since I am not a huge fan of using references unless I have to for something very specific. 

I was feeling a bright vibrant orange instead of a deep read so that is what I used. To add life and texture I included streaks of white, and pink. Of course with much of my work I have to have the black background to make that bright colors pop! To add an additional pop of color to compliment the orange there is a cobalt blue glow coming off of the flower petals.
