Chandelier

This practice piece sold soon after finishing it. like most of my artwork it is a high contrast piece with bright luminescent  light fixtures against a black background. I was practicing drawing transparency and light. How does one create a glow effect against black? What is the best way to layer a color and white to show glowing. How do I show light bouncing off of a transparent object? Those are the types of things I thought about as I worked on this piece.
